Terrapin Tech serves the University of Maryland, College Park community. As a certified Apple and Dell campus reseller, items that include an educational discount require that we verify your status as a UMD student or faculty or staff member. We reserve the right to cancel any order placed without a valid UID number. 

Shipping

The shipping fee is calculated based on the weight of the item. The weight of each item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound. 

When placing an order, your shipping and delivery dates are based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. We currently ship all orders with FedEx Ground. Shipping times vary depending on the product and lead time from our vendors. Please feel free to ask for an estimate when you place your order. 

In-Store Pick Up

All orders placed through the web store are eligible for free in-store pick up. This option is available during checkout.

Return Policy

All sales are final. We will accept returns for dead on arrival (DOA) items, meaning that the device is non-functioning out of the box. DOA items must be returned within 30 days of purchase in like-new condition, accompanied by the original box and accessories.

If you need to return a DOA item, please contact us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions.

Tax

Personal purchases: Sales tax is collected on all purchases picked up in-store or shipped. The current Maryland tax rate is 6%. 

Departmental purchases: Sales tax is not collected on UMD departmental purchases paid for via KFS number or with a university purchasing card.
